Message The lower O-ring isolates the injector body from the lower intake manifold. They broke the O-ring on install because it appears the injector was not "set-in" properly. They used the bolts that hold the injector cap on to actually force the injector into the hole.

When you turn the key on, the fuel pump primes. All of that fuel went straight into the cylinder. Fuel can't compress and something has to give. In this case it was the rod
